How to complete an Airway Bill

Pro-forma Invoice
It is essential to send a pro-forma invoice with all non-document shipments to non-EU countries to aid Customs clearance. It is also advisable in certain other situations – if you are unsure, please ask our operations department for advice. You can downloaded a pro-forma invoice below, please provide us with the original, plus four copies.

Things to remember:

  • Invoices must be produced on your company letterhead.
  • Pro-forma and commercial invoices must be signed in ink.
  • You must give the consignee’s VAT, IRS or EIN number if appropriate.
  • You must supply a full description of the goods and an accurate value for customs.
  • Invoices should be typed whenever possible.
  • It is advisable to provide the consignee’s phone number in all cases.
